Our Team

Ash Bosworth has been at the helm of Pulse since 2019, bringing more than two decades of experience in software development, analytics, and management to the role.

Before stepping into senior leadership, Ash spent 20 years shaping Pulse’s Development and Analytics teams — pairing a strong process focus with a passion for building technology that makes life easier for clients.

His early career included roles as Project Manager on large civil construction projects and volunteer leadership positions with Surf Life Saving Australia (Patrol Captain, 2013–2023) and Newcastle Golf Club (Director, 2015–2022).

With a Bachelor of Engineering (MechEng) under his belt, Ash thrives in the fast-moving tech world, guiding and mentoring leaders to create intuitive ERP solutions for businesses that need smarter, scalable systems.

When he’s not driving innovation at Pulse, you’ll find Ash spending time with his family, or keeping up his plus handicap at Newcastle Golf Club and practising on the indoor Trackman simulator with the Pulse team.

With over 35 years at Pulse, Lukas leverages a depth of knowledge that few can match. His remarkable memory and long-standing client relationships give him a rare insight into how countless systems have evolved over time.

Above all, Lukas thrives on empowering others to succeed. His combination of expertise, generosity, and problem-solving skills makes him a trusted resource for both clients and coworkers in need of a helping hand.

A voracious learner, Lukas is always chasing the next challenge — whether it’s exploring new technology or untangling the trickiest system puzzle.

Beyond the desk, Lukas is reviving the pinball scene and donating profits to local charities. He not only cofounded Pinfest and the Newcastle Pinball Association in 2012, but also oversees the much-loved pinball arcade at the Pulse office.

Grant Hawkins came on board in 2008 with a Bachelor of Information Technology, and has been leading our Development Team since 2015.

Grant aligns his team’s efforts to deliver smart, effective solutions for Pulse users. His core focuses are to fast-track processes, reduce manual work, and give clients greater control over data collection and reporting.

With deep expertise in system functionality and third-party integrations, Grant is our go-to team member for optimising processes or unlocking new capabilities within Pulse systems. He values building strong relationships with clients and ensuring our technology adapts to their needs.

Outside of work, Grant’s two energetic boys keep him busy with weekend sports, kayaking, and plenty of outdoor adventures.

After 15 years travelling the globe with Nasdaq, setting up stock exchanges and fuelling business growth through technology, Alex Broad found his purpose: to help companies automate and scale so they can reach their full potential.

Along the way, he’s played a key role in bringing multiple small businesses to full maturity. In 2021, while living in Newcastle, Alex discovered Pulse — a local business with unlimited potential — and knew it was the right fit.

Alex is driven to make Pulse and the industries we serve as efficient as possible. He thrives on solving complex problems, challenging assumptions, and embracing new ideas to deliver cutting-edge solutions for clients.

A strategic and innovative thinking partner, Alex adds fresh perspectives on everything from IT systems to broader business processes.

Away from the office, you’ll find him riding motorbikes, collecting classic sports cars, or getting his hands dirty as a weekend mechanic.
